The Athanasios K. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation was created in 2015 with the aim of acting as a catalyst for important issues concerning Greece and Hellenism. Its activities focus on protection of the marine environment, support of employment and micro-entrepreneurship, as well as the fostering of initiatives which defend collective interests and increase transparency. The Foundation plans and implements its own programmes, while also supporting the programmes and projects of other organisations in its areas of interest. True to its belief in the value of collaboration, it undertakes joint projects with non-profit organisations, experts in many different fields and other funders to achieve significant results and leave the most lasting legacy.
Making use of all available resources and its extensive network of partners, the Athanasios K. Laskaridis Foundation makes in depth studies of the topics it is interested in, identifies best practices and makes use of innovative solutions drawn from all over the world. Firm believers in the ability of each person to make a difference, starting from their own place, they support efforts which have a direct impact on local communities and seek to bring about change, starting with the little things.
