Save your hood started back in November 2020 as a simple local clean-up initiative. Already, one year after its establishment, more than 50000 active volunteers spread across 12 countries are taking care of our neighborhoods, collecting more than 8 million litres of garbage from urban, coastal and natural environments, while continuously changing our wrong environmental mindset and creating an unprecedented volunteer network.
More than 9 million of garbage have been removed from urban and natural landscapes, having a direct impact on our lives, while Save Your Hood acts continuously inspiring others and having an impact onto the world.
The “Save Your Hood” movement empowers people’s initiatives for a cleaner and healthier environment, uniting them together, giving them a unified voice. Its goal is to act and raise awareness about pollution, change our mindset regarding waste, improve the way our countries are managing as well as reducing it and positively affecting the recycling system.
