Equality and Inclusion in the Workplace

This online seminar is addressed primarily to the grantee organisations of the “Protecting Democracy, Human Rights and the Rule of Law through an Open Civic Space” (PLATO) Programme in Greece and Cyprus, as well as to Civil Society Organisations more broadly.

This three-hour seminar is designed for Civil Society Organisations that wish to integrate principles of equality and inclusion into their day-to-day operations, regardless of their size or previous experience. Through practical tools and examples tailored to the realities of organisations that often operate with limited resources and staff, the seminar covers topics such as gender equality in the workplace, preventing discrimination in recruitment and day-to-day staff management, and creating a working environment that respects diversity.

The seminar is intended for staff members, volunteers, and HR professionals from NGOs and other Civil Society Organisations. No prior expertise on the subject is required.

About the PLATO Programme

The “Protecting Democracy, Human Rights and the Rule of Law through an Open Civic Space” (PLATO) Programme aims to strengthen the protection of and raise awareness about fundamental EU rights and values by supporting Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in Greece and Cyprus that are active in these fields, while strengthening their knowledge, capacities, and sustainability.

PLATO is 90% co-funded by the European Union through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV-2024-CITIZENS-VALUES) and 10% by the Bodossaki Foundation and the NGO Support Centre, with a total grant amount of €3.1 million.
