THI Canada is a non-profit, charitable organisation founded in 2016 to raise funds in Canada and use them to support projects which contribute to the well-being of Greeks. THI Canada’s mission is to mobilise the generosity of Canadians and Greeks in the diaspora to create programmes that help alleviate poverty by providing food and other basic necessities, promote health through the provision of medical services, and foster education by providing scholarships and other forms of financial assistance for students to take courses in Canada and Greece.
THI Canada works with reliable, responsible and transparent non-profit organisations in Greece to create programmes that provide food, shelter and medical assistance to vulnerable individuals and families. THI Canada also supports vulnerable groups in emergency situations, such as in the case of the recent fires in Attica and North Evia or the influx of Ukrainian refugees into Greece.
THI Canada is a member of THI Worldwide, a global movement of the Greek diaspora founded in 2012 to invest in the future of Greece through crisis relief and support of the country’s economic development.
