10:00 - 13:00
The online workshop “Building Synergies for Advocacy & Watchdog Action” aims to provide an introductory approach to the need for advocacy and watchdog initiatives, as well as the tools required for designing advocacy and monitoring plans. The workshop will focus both on monitoring advocacy plans themselves and on overseeing the institutions responsible for implementing programmes and policies related to the thematic areas addressed by the REVERT project (gender-based violence and violence against children).
Participants will explore:
-which stakeholders and organisations CSOs should collaborate with,
-within what kind of framework,
-for what purposes,
-and how monitoring and watchdog action can be managed when CSOs are not in positions of institutional power.
The workshop will also examine good practices from Greece and abroad and identify the characteristics that make them effective.
Finally, participants will work on a case study, aiming to frame and address it in the most effective way within a limited timeframe.

PREVENT is co-funded by the European Union (90% funding rate), through the Citizens, Equality, Rights, and Values (CERV*) 2023-DAPHNE programme, and by the Bodossaki Foundation and NGO Support Centre (10% funding rate), with the total grant amounting to €2.3 million.
