Unlocking Effective Communication for Small Organisations

“We don’t have time.”
“We don’t have specialised staff.”
“We don’t have the budget.”
“What could we possibly say that others aren’t already saying?”

If you have ever said or thought any of the above, then this seminar is for you.

In this seminar, we will do something simple: challenge some of the myths that prevent organisations from communicating effectively and provide practical steps to help you begin — or improve — the communication efforts you are already making.

Through honest discussion, practical examples, a touch of humour, and the support of Artificial Intelligence tools, we will explore how more effective communication may already be within your reach. The truth is that you are already communicating — perhaps without realising it, or without making the most of it. And there are ways to do it better, without radically changing your organisation.

Who Is This Seminar For?
Small organisations that feel they “lack the resources” for communication
People who “do everything” within their organisation — including communication
Organisations that believe communication is only for “the others”: the larger, more established organisations with bigger budgets
Anyone looking for simple, practical, and immediately applicable solutions

The seminar will take place online in two sessions (Part A & Part B):

Part A: Friday, 23 January 2026, 10:00–12:00
Part B: Monday, 26 January 2026, 10:00–12:00

The tools are already in your hands
-What does communication really mean?
-Communication you are already doing — often without realising it
-Small vs large organisations: the advantages you already have
The myths holding you back
-Myth or reality? “We don’t have time/resources/staff”, “We need to hire someone first”, “We don’t know what to say”, “If we open up, we’ll be judged”
-What is holding you back and how to remove barriers
The organisational “how” of communication
-Who communicates within your organisation?
-How does information circulate internally?
-Who manages your social media?
-Small communication goals you can start setting now
Artificial Intelligence
-Practical examples of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
-What Artificial Intelligence can — and cannot — do
-Live demo
Closing: My first small goal
What will you do next week?

DAY 2 – How to Communicate Effectively with Your Target Audience

How to tell your story

-How storytelling communicates your vision, origins, and what makes you different
Social Media – Standing out in the noise
-Myth: “I don’t have the means or tools to be heard”
-Communication in an “overloaded” world
-What makes your organisation stand out?
-Practical social media tips that work
Media Relations – Do we really need the media?
-Myth: “I need to tell them everything about us”
-Communication as simplification, not overload
-What journalists really want
-How to create a press release that gets read
From theory to action
-Bring one existing (or upcoming) activity from your organisation
-How would you communicate it? Through storytelling, social media, and/or media outreach?
